Why AI LIVE moved back to 4 to 6pm UK

0:10 I still love that funky little intro how's it going mate yeah good what about you good Easter Yeah good cheers uh I was actually doing some work although Paula here actually had some uh Some nice time with the family what about you uh I was the same what I've been saying for the last The next few weeks unpacking so still unpacking still sorting out everything um yeah just saying Backstage of what at the moment I'm in this office but we're going to turn this office into a bedroom And then we're going to go I'm going to go to another office so I'm kind of half unpacks my My ipad and my mac mini still in the box I don't want to unpack it yet until I move across so Yeah, fair enough.

0:56 Hey, we see some comments coming in, which affirms that we are live and that you're all Hearing us. Hello, Glenn. Hello from Tunisia. Let's go. Hello, Teresa. Thanks so much for tuning in. We had this comment earlier from Lara cheating on Netflix that came in way earlier this morning. Not sure what that's about. But yeah, what does that mean? If you are first time viewers here, please let us know whereabouts in the world you're Tuning in from. Oh, we see Brazil in the house. We've got Diane Afro footer herself. Let's go legends in the building right here. Ah, excited to see all you guys. You're all coming through YouTube. I noticed as well today. Hopefully we're live through LinkedIn as well. Um, but I'm loving the hop over to YouTube guys. Honestly, you'll get a better viewing of the show there for sure.

1:44 Yeah. I mean, SF yes, we've moved it later. Thank you for your feedback last week. I forgot to tell Andrew cause he'd already hopped off by that part of the show, but you Unanimously you all guys voted please do it four till six because it's the difference between 7 A.m and 8 a.m in san francisco so yeah we heard you and we've moved it back thank you for letting Us know hey miriam's coming through linkedin so we've definitely got our number one fan right There miriam she she truly is andrew when you meet her in person which you've unfortunately Missed her twice now uh in london events I hear you're in london on friday though so yeah I mean Friday then I'm off to leeds no cardiff I'm in cardiff oh nice monday monday back tuesday

2:31 And then in london till saturday so yeah youtube is indeed no delay and better sound so yeah Better better live experience there so we've got a bit of a weird one this week guys we've got some News but we haven't necessarily got videos about the news just to kick off the show in a weird way Um you know usually we would show like uh here's the news and here's the video that pertains to Except this week we've just kind of got some like ad hoc news that we thought you guys should know About and now andrew talks about this one a lot right price it all boils down to price So the biggest news that we've got this week is that google vo 3.1 is now free for up to 10 Generations uh a week or a month on even the free plan but if you're on a pro or an ultra subscription

Is Google Veo 3.1 now free?

3:24 Higher rates up to like thousands of 3.1 videos for your same subscription costs. So if you're looking for your best bang for your buck in video right now, we're all Expecting a big update from Google in terms of maybe version four or something like This. So it looks like they're starting to make 3.1 a lot more affordable. They're also launching a light version of that as well. So, um, yeah, check out VO 3.1. If you're looking for your biggest bang for your buck and bargain right now. AI space and that's via the Google vids app. So you have to specifically go via that app in order To get the free access. Um, it's not going to be available in other places that you can get 3.1 Google, they'll still be API costs and stuff. So it's kind of Google's little deal to make you go

4:12 To their own app to use VO 3.1 for a limited time only. I don't know how long that will last, but Hey we've got claire tuning in let's go what I was just noticing going back to the google uh story Quickly so I was on gemini I got a pro planner gemini I put in this whole long prompt that I got From someone might see what it's like and it says and google said I'm generating your video this Could take a few minutes so check back to see when your video is ready so I went away come back Probably about an hour or so later on and it said your video generation was cancelled so then I went It said you've run out of credit for the day I was like what oh that's not good anything and I said I paid gemini I asked you to do a video you said two minutes I waited almost two hours and got

Andrew's Gemini credits cautionary tale

4:58 Nothing how can we make this video happen and they said I'm generating your video again didn't work And it just said you've reached your video generation until the next day I was like wow It's not great is it so recently it cost me all my credits for the day and it didn't generate The report I'm reading is the Google vids app. We haven't been there ourselves. So just check this out. Google vids app. It might be a new separate app that they've launched. This isn't flow. I've noticed, you know, it's not the Google flow app that we've been doing. So something different. So definitely look into that. Hey John, what's going on? Big up from Fulham. Let's go big up from tooting. Let's go. Are you two in brek two in back or two in broadway dave two in is my pretty much my home my home area

5:50 And big up from fulham yes hey let's go it is so confusing I totally agree there's about 55 million Ways to access all of these tools it takes out big up from maidenhead let's go big ups um two weeks Ago I was at a place called was it monkey island then if you know monkey island I was doing a talk Uh for ancestry.com at monkey island in maidenhead nice nice sas walito here love that I even know Where that is sunbathing in the park can't access youtube but always tuning in via the linkedin Because that's why you're our number one fan miriam we appreciate you now this next piece of News mate you are going to be very excited about in fact I might actually put like a stick in the

Suno 5.5: hum to track and voice cloning

6:38 Stone here and say, this might be your favorite piece of news that we've shown on the show In a while, because remember when we did all that, like hum to music stuff back in the Early Suno days and this ability to like, you know, just do anything essentially. Well, I found a very, very cool example of the new major Suno 5.5 upgrade. And this guy is basically humming wobbles voice cloning himself doing all sorts of stuff to make some gnarly stuff I think we do have a video for this one. So let's watch it

8:10 I like how it uses my voice I mean, of course like it doesn't have to be like some crazy hard does that I could probably do something like piano and flute Doesn't really sound like boss music We're all gonna start acting crazy in our houses imagine being heard imagine your partner listening

8:57 To you when you're just going in your own private room you know what someone asked what platform That's suno 5.5 yeah this new update you know what's crazy on my in a nutshell podcast uh every Tuesday so today I do the two tools tuesday and I was actually talking about suno today and there's Another feature which is you can talk into it or sing any song it recognizes your voice and then You might say sing an r b song and it turns it into an are you singing r b or opera or whatever So it's basically what you would sound like if you was a Grammy award-winning singer. It's crazy. It's customization, isn't it? And, um, for a long time, the transfer of your likeness of audio wasn't that great.

9:43 So it's not like this is a breaking new feature. This has been tried before, but the big update here really is that 5.5 is nailing it, you know? And the fact that it has a full studio as well that you can use in Suno now. And really this is the combination of all of the tools that I used to use like Logic pro and all of the samplers and stuff. They've all now got it baked into Suno where you can just directly upload your Random cause you know, samplers can do this in logic. This is again, not new. I've been able to like turn any sound into any sound. That was my sort of like, you know, skill in university, I guess is you could Record like a train noise and make it sound like an epic thunderclap because Was, you know, change a few frequencies, run it through, through things.

10:30 But soon I was able to do this for people without musical skill, which Is what's so interesting. And yeah, I think we'll all be doing a lot more humming, uh, you know, To make this stuff art list too. They launched Lyria three. So kind of a bolt on story to this, but the, um, the inner nutshell, I guess Here is that producer AI, which was my favorite AI music tool got acquired by And together they launched Liria three, which is the thing that you can go and Use in Gemini and other places right now that can produce three minute long videos. But it also has been added to art list where they've added their own things on Top of that to build on top. Cause art list was a great stock music library before all this AI stuff.

Artlist adds Google's Lyria 3

11:16 So they had loads of music tools and, you know, so never before have we had This much access to music. That's just the TLDR of all of this. Using I definitely think that app will divide people um what I mean by that oh yeah the the Pure hardcore musicians producers will hate that it will absolutely hate that but for the rest of us We'll be like wow all of a sudden that song or that beat in my head or something that I can imagine I can bring to life which is excited exactly right the other news is a lot less exciting but it is Very valid if you are using open claw or any of these other tools right now apparently claude is No longer supporting these um so tokens are burning a lot lot faster now and people that

Are Claude agents about to get expensive?

12:05 Were all pushing agents you know even we had an episode where we talked about our agents are the Future and this and that well you know just hold your horses a little bit it turns out um it's Going to get very expensive very quickly if you are using certain tools like open claw and they're Claude and things like this let us know in the comments if you've experienced any of that or if Claude has started costing you a lot more tokens or something like that you know always give us Respect yeah I'm reading in groups how much tokens people are using in clauds but oh yeah Bring in claude co-work and claude code it's the token factor thing that we were talking about Well a couple of years ago that we were not happy about because end of the day it's like a pay-as-you-go Phone if you're halfway through a really important phone call with somebody and your credits run out

12:53 Do you then top it up or do you just let the call go and that's kind of like how It's working with these tokens you know if you're halfway through something really important Are you and your credit runs out do you then have to pay more or will you just stop and most people Will have to pay more which then kind of goes into the world of gambling you know it's like Well I'm on a winning streak even though I'm losing but I kind of think I can win again Is down that same similar path. So yeah, it's kind of interesting, isn't it? You know, my biggest learning experience, and this is just a small tip for those That are mainly transferring from ChatGPT to Claude is stop talking to it like you Did ChatGPT, you know, no please, no thank yous, no short messages. Like every single message you write to it should be with all of the detail in Which you should expect a very thorough answer.

13:40 You know, the conversational style ChatGPT stuff will just rip through your So you need to be a lot more thoughtful than you were with ChatTBT, it seems. And Claude will be more thoughtful back, you know. He's got a personality. I learned that when I was using Manus a lot. When I was asking questions, why am I running through all of these credits? And Manus actually has a chat engine attached to that, but it's not obvious. So that's the thing that I think people need to be aware of. It's like where these there needs to be some form of bar on the side that tells you how much credit You've got how much you've got left because people will be a lot more careful but we even saw some News that was potentially going to help this because I remember at one point like although

14:25 This may be coming in the future the idea was to build an algorithm that would make your llm Go to the most efficient one to answer that query you know instead of the most expensive one that Choose a large language module is far less and most people don't realize but they don't need the Highest you know ai to do stuff like a local ai on your computer could likely do a lot of the things That you need daily tasks for so we're not the best choosers as it turns out of the llm you know An algorithm sorting our answer and actually matching it with the right llm is probably the Better way to go hey I can see megan grant let's go let's see you for a while megan we haven't seen

15:10 You in a while and we have got version 8 of mid journey and stuff to catch up on I've heard that There's an 8.1 potentially coming although you can maybe fill us in um yes I've chatted with claude Free for 12 hours and he's helped me vibe coding and lovable never ran out signed up that night and Chat exactly well these are the things right is if you if you were doing it right it makes total Sense it turns out that they were all subsidizing us actually so like if you're on the 200 plan you Can go really high and the compute costs like anthropic are just eating it I saw a report the Other day of a guy that used twelve thousand dollars worth of compute costs for his two Hundred dollar a month called subscription so you're like oh my god you know anthropic's eating

15:58 $500 cost there and you know extreme users. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I've been saying to people. This is the golden era, but by the end of the year, they're not going to continue eating these Costs to do everything you need to do now, because if it's already happening now, then it's going to Get a lot more expensive in the next year. I think that's what they call, you know, Now test now while it's pretty much free or such a little price, because as I said, next year, I just don't think they're going to continue eating these costs. Well, we're out of the new section already and not much this week. If you guys have seen any other news that we may have missed, you know, major Updates to creative AI tools, let us know in the comments that we should keep a hold of. We always love to see your feedback as well. The next section we've got for you, cause Paul's giving me all these show notes now,

16:43 You know, I've got an actual show show running notes. It feels so good. Yeah. It feels so good. So, um, we entered into the big ad contest for runway. We actually finally got some time and Paul had a go. Uh, he used cling to make this mostly through runway, which is really interesting that they Offer that through runway. And he called this one, uh, the lost page and it's our entry. Let's watch it. I know where I stand. You lost your place a long time ago. You just. Ah, thanks. What? There is no one here but us.

The Lost Page, our Runway Big Ad Contest entry

17:33 Where is Elva? I must see her. Who? We must travel to the Grey Marsh. Where? It's so nice to have some of our work on the show. Finally, after sharing all your guys' stuff, we actually finally got some time. And if you're unaware, cheers, mate. Cheers. That's really nice of you. If you're unaware, there were sort of rules to this entry where you could have chosen a paperclip,

18:23 You could have chosen a fizzy drink, a AA battery. And we noticed that not many people were choosing the bookmark. Bookmark and Paul specifically had this idea for the bookmark, which is, you know, always Worth entering when you've got an idea for a thing that they choose you to make. It's a lot easier actually to have a spinoff idea like that. So yeah, it was a, it was a fun one to make. Although, like I said, it was very, very last minute.com as I thought everybody's entry Was to be honest with you. I've looked through a lot of people who just decided to enter sort of last minute and it's Brought a lot of people back to runway. Honestly, it's kind of interesting that Paul was saying that, you know, This is really spurred a lot of people to go back into runway. Now they realize that clings in there and other tools are in there.

19:10 There's a node system in there. It's a very nice interface. I must say runway has always been one of our favorite and one of the best CPP programs of all of them. So we're very thankful to be part of that. And, uh, yeah, thank you so much for the nice comments guys. Guys. Awesome. Paul says Glenn, you rock. Uh, great concepts as Teresa, Eric's loving It. Exactly. Thank you so much guys. One of the concepts I look at and I'm like, how Come I've not seen this concept before? Cause it's so obvious. It's powerful. You know, It's like, what are you doing off and see ads for bookmarks? I guess, you know, what Company even provides bookmarks? Like I was thinking penguin books or something, you know, Like in terms of a big brand that, cause I don't know if you've ever seen, but one of the fascinating

19:59 Stories about penguin books is the creator actually invented the brand in order to travel on trains. Cause he loved reading books on trains. So they actually invented a penguin vending machine, Which is for books and put it at train stations. And this is how penguin the company books took off Is that you could go to a vending machine and actually like buy a book as and then go on a Train and read your book and they're very smart and like I loved yeah I just thought about big Brands that this could work for too you know because as you say there's not many bookmark Companies or hallmark cards or you know who could this who could this be for but yeah paul had this Idea on the bookmark which I was so happy about because everyone chose the double a batteries or

20:45 The paper clip or we we've watched them haven't we week to week so we've seen you posted that Viral one as well that was the paper clip one actually went pretty big last week didn't it Yeah is this competition still going on no it's closed now and we're waiting for the um final They they extended the deadline an extra day um so it was supposed to be closed a few days ago but They gave an extra day so we're sort of waiting they said that they'd have let us know by now Winners, but it doesn't look like as far as I can see, unless anybody else has seen, Um, that they've chosen any winners, but there's a top 15, I believe top 15 prizes. Um, so yeah, the thing I liked about it, right. 40 to 60 seconds.

21:32 And you have to use one of these four or five products or invent a product that doesn't exist. That was the brief. I really liked that scope. It makes it very watchable that we can, you know, rattle through a bunch of these. More um actually I think the next one was an entry as well yeah into um this one is called Dracula sunscreen and you may know who this one's by as soon as you watch it I'm not gonna say his Name I'm just gonna just assume that you know who this one's by let's watch it I am so sick of the Dark I just want to step outside like everyone else and have a normal summer but I'm trapped inside Told me I should just build up tolerance I mean I've tried it a couple times didn't really work

Dracula Sunscreen by Simon Meyer and Nik Behrendt

22:24 Out being stuck with nights only it's honestly kind of useless everything's closed you can't Meet anyone can't do anything normal but one day something changed tired of hiding from the sun Super cheap sunscreen. Now even cheaper. It's so cheap. There it was. A way out for a few hours. I could just be another guy out there. Like everyone else. This can be the best day of my life. That's brilliant you can tell straight away it's his video can't you is the king that is a great

23:14 Great uh ending he's brilliant isn't he and um I think his brilliance comes from this idea of Taking characters we're all very familiar with kind of like his frankenstein piece you know Now using dracula obviously um and putting a spin on it you know just and with a great closer A great ending a nice uh reward at the end and it's always like a comedy skit throughout like He's thinking of his scenes you can see his craft you know and and and instantly you can see it's a Simon mayer video he did have a collaborator on this one as well though so I'll give that guy a Shout out to um let me just check my notes so nick uh bear bear rodent I'm terrible at pronouncing

24:02 Names, but they made this together. Uh, every single shot was generated inside runway, created it with text to image With Google VO, we used, edited the base images with nano banana generated all Of the videos with cling AI. And I believe that he did an entry to Higgs field with another person as well. So Simon's teaming up with people now, you know, and, uh, doing like collab Entries into stuff. And it's almost unfair when he enters into stuff, isn't it? Cause it's like, God damn it. As Simon's entered into this one. Yeah, of course. You know, like he's so, he's so good. Very kind of a, yeah. King of the spin as Glenn says. Yeah, exactly. Right. And, uh, congrats, Megan. Um, I, Ari mid journey version eight I'll come onto that comment, uh, later, but I saw

24:49 This comment very busy with new projects. Very happy to hear that having lots of meetings with new people discussing your AIR projects and community projects. Very happy to hear that you've been very busy and that's why We haven't seen you. That's always very good news. Let's get the insight into Midjourney version 8 As well. Midjourney version 8, there should be an update on that tomorrow in the weekly office hours, Loads of updates in the pipeline, but it's all alpha, so it's likely to change. Yes, for those In the know, alpha.midjourney is where you access the sort of newer tools and stuff like this. It's Different to the midjourney.com website. And then yeah, Office Hours is their weekly podcast that they do every Wednesday. So maybe we'll hear some 8.1 updates tomorrow. Glenn saying, Paul is the goat.

25:36 You're very kind. You're very kind, Glenn. Win or lose, Paul is the goat. I think that was the reason we entered was honestly win or lose doesn't really matter. We wanted to get some peace on the show actually of our own creation because we very rarely Things actually get time to enter these things, um, these days anyway. But yeah, it was really good to actually get something out there. Amazing. Yeah. King of the spin though. It's the right way to think about Simon, isn't it? He really is like, you're always expecting it and you, in the lead up is Kind of like brilliant in itself. Like everything going in, you sort of feel has the pacing of his type of video And somehow he's able to embellish this into every video he makes.

26:24 It's kind of interesting that you can instantly see it's one of his videos. Anyway, let's keep going. We need to have Simon on the show. And hopefully he will come on the show soon. He's just so busy. I told you he's a new dad, you know, and a lot of the, We wanted him at Bionic Awards and other things. And he's just, he's finding it very hard to travel And commit to stuff at the moment. He's got so much going on, to be fair to him. Yeah, completely. One, this one was using the energy drink and it was written and Directed by Amit Bimrot and the creative director and producer was Shefali Keoja. I'm terrible at names. So sorry about that. Let's watch it.

Runway Big Ad Contest: an energy drink ad

28:03 Shilajit never lets you down. The whole time I was watching this one, I was thinking, isn't it crazy how different everyone's entries are? You know, like you could, it's so open to interpretation and clearly this person is using their culture or, or maybe it's not their culture. I don't know. Maybe this is just a video they've made and, and it's so up to interpretation, but the visuals in this were really cool. I like the style. I like the transformation, you know, normal bus drink the drink crazy bus, you know, just in the basic terms, uh, really fun. Sort of vibe and uh this is the trailer for the new speed film I think in this case that drink Wasn't a thing that like they made up that drink as in like that that's not the typical fizzy drink

28:52 That other people have been using which was an item that you could choose to use but yeah interesting Take I like it yeah I just like how different they all are you know and it must be really hard to Judge these things it must be thousands of entries it's it's it's tough isn't it it'd be really Difficult to judge this because I'm like they're just really good good concepts really good concepts Yeah right and um yeah you know thank you to all of the people that have been sending these In because I believe some of these were submissions to us you know as well as submitting to the show You are also finding our link to submit which we'll give you a bit later on that note whilst Going about the show, please, you know, like, and subscribe to us over at Luma and

29:41 On YouTube to get future access to these future events so that we don't need to Get you through LinkedIn on an event page or anything like that. If you subscribe to Luma specifically, the newsletter will also be delivered to You the next day and give you all of the show notes with all of the links to all Of the posts. Cause a lot of you guys comment week to week about where we can find that most Easily. And so Luma subscribe over there. And you'll get the newsletter as well. Let's keep going. Cause we've got a few more of these. Um, I think the last one in this section is another runway, big ad contest. This one is even mermaids have their, their days off and it is by it's a gal And a real sage, his wife and the tools used with nano banana two,

Even Mermaids Have Their Days Off by Itai Gal and Ariel Sagie

30:30 Magnificent precise runways, new multi-shot feature, which is interesting And cling 3.0 for most of the video footage, which seems to be the norm. Let's check it out. The ocean is home to endless shimmering beauty, But also to danger that lurks in every corner. The shark can detect traces of blood in the water from hundreds of meters away.

31:21 Unless you're using Tydell, then you're probably fine. I love that these are so rapid fire and always come with a twist. You know, this is why advertising is so enticing to watch versus a short film, which can, you know, be beautiful visually and stuff like that. Advertising kind of always needs to have this twist you know or this comedy element or this Or this line of something and yeah the sort of comedy here was it was nuanced but it was there That you know like that type of ad that if it was done by a big agency exactly the same

32:06 That would be for awards and probably could win you know that's the thing you know it's interesting Isn't it only difference is is that the person who created it or the two people that created this one Is not a big agency right that's that's the only that's the only difference but that is the type Of things that would do really well in the world of creative agencies sorry awards and stuff great Very clever I agree yeah and it's such a different take compared to the other three that we just Watched you know like this is what's so hard to judge with this competition I guess is that So many perspectives so many twists like I wonder what the judging criteria is exactly Like a really high thing because this premise was great, you know? And again, I think it was for an ad for the tampons or whatever it was,

32:55 That wasn't an item that was, could be chosen. They've actually chosen that. Yeah. Yeah. So it's very different to the paperclip entries that we've watched in the double A batteries and yeah, very few people chose the bookmark, but these guys Obviously just went full on. We're going to completely make a different product. Idea and it's to work to that and it works you know the idea worked for that product really Really well the concept of a mermaid not spilling blood so that a shark doesn't eat uh is a Hilarious bit you know and the end it works so yeah I like the way it started off with a hot water On the tummy yeah right little subtle details like that exactly what um who created that again

33:41 Um let me just double check that one was by it's a gal and ariel sage his wife cool I wonder if They've got other stuff as well be interested to see again though subscribe to luma and then you'll Get sent the exact link that we found it on because that came from linkedin I also saw a Comment from megan earlier saying by the way luma is great linkedin events are hard to find and tend To get lost yes we completely agree megan luma is the way forward for us so you know go subscribe Over there because we'll be putting a lot less attention into linkedin events because they're Just so difficult for people to actually find versus luma we can put everywhere and everyone Finds that yeah a few people saw that this morning brilliant uh very clever lots of insights smart

34:31 Clever. That's the thing about advertising a good insight, ie, you know, what's the product like a Tampon? What's a funny sort of premise that you could do with, uh, not wanting to lose blood and Stuff like this as well, or exactly before done in a better way or a different way. And it's about the tone too. Cause I remember Nike did one about tampons and athletes a long Time ago, you know, and it had a very serious tone, whereas that was a very light, lighthearted You know, like, Oh, don't be a mermaid with the sharks and yada, yada. So it's again, it's like bringing serious or comedy towards a subject that can be Touchy or hard to advertise like tampons can be controversial or whatever. I don't know why they're controversial to be truthful, but it's just that the

35:18 Advertising around it can be weird or seem off putting to some people, you know? So yeah. Great little way to get around that. Um it's oh just got a little thing from uh paul to say that the last comment on the runway discord Says that by the end of this week the winners will be announced we've had a lot of submissions To review I can imagine we've watched many many of them but there are thousands in linkedin Because that basically shows you that more and more people are getting involved in this space Everyone's going to be on like some form of program to get free credits which means there's Money that's being generated as well so I think and you're going to see more and more competitions

Why are creators going back to Runway?

36:06 I think the fact that they gave out a lot of money early and people went on on linkedin instagram Saying they won all of this money I won 1500 1500 15 000 pounds or 150 000 pounds or there's a Million pound prize I think that's got more people into it and then you're just seeing it growing and Growth and you're right it wasn't the biggest amount of money from runway but it is this is a Really good sign actually you know it's a good sign that they're watching them that they're going to Wait to announce it by the end of this week because they had initially said we're going to only we're Going to announce the winners three or four days after the entry and I was like how are you going To watch thousands of these ads in three or four days there's no possible way so they're taking it Seriously and it is interesting right like runway were one of the biggest in the game early in fact

36:52 Video model at one point in time. And now they're sort of doing this thing where I saw Afro Future earlier say also they've added C dance and Cling and other tools to their Platform and the interface itself is actually really, really nice. So they're making a big play back now for people that saying, look, we understand That runways, maybe not the best video model on the market right now. So we'll include the ones that are better so that you come and have a workspace With us and their competitions have always been good. And I've noticed, right, even though this was way less money than Higgs Field and others, there's way more people entering it because they, They feel like runway is going to do them a proper service. And that it's yeah.

37:39 Trusted is the word mate, because the biggest thing runway's done in their Legacy is they've got Lionsgate, Tribeca and all these massive partnerships that Nobody's been able to even get close to. In terms of like building bridges to the mainstream world, if you like, I think runway have probably done the best job of anyone. Is that the ice cream man? Yeah. The ice cream man apparently it's warm enough in Britain that the ice cream Man feels like he's actually, that's hilarious that you heard that. I was going to ask if you heard that, but I assume that Ice cream man. Oh, good. Ice cream. That's great mate this is the literal first day in England it's been warm enough and the ice cream

38:28 Fans already on the block they get trying to get that coin I remember watching this documentary on Ice cream the rivalry between ice cream like vans on roots someone doing some form of AI Sketch around this you know like can put something because I'm sure that could be some really Interesting things in that space yep well actually I had a nice segue because I just gave runway a Really glowing appreciation there thank you for having us in your cpp get us to more events I'd Love to be partnered with runway sponsor this show you know if anyone from runway is watching or you Know anyone from runway we want you as a sponsor I'm going to give you another shout out right now Now this is something unique right they're creating short films internally that are quite watchable

Runway's luggage ad, made with its new ad app

39:18 Advertisements, what their platform can make. Now this next piece is just literally a random runway ad for, you know, Luggage that essentially runway luggage, they created it for themselves. It's just an ad concept app thing. You know, with the thing we watched, actually, they use their new tool In order to do this and they're going to give a full breakdown in the future Of exactly how they made this, but let's watch it first. And yeah, interesting stuff. Did you get away somehow, somehow? This way is always weird Things I got away somehow

40:06 Did you get away somehow? I think you got away somehow Did you get away somehow? Somehow, somehow, somehow Somehow, somehow, somehow Somehow, somehow, somehow

40:56 Hmm nice little pizza oh he's coming back he's doing the second lap as I speak man But um hey luca I'll I'll get to your comment in a minute but great to see you in the chat The one thing that annoys me about this piece, right, is I had a very similar idea to this Recently. And now that they've put this out, I kind of don't want to make it. But I love the fact that they're just doing this. You know, like I said, they're just making things as a proof of their platform. This was made in runway. We make this internally. We put this out of social media content. Why the hell is that not happening, mate? Like, why the hell is this not being like a regular thing since video models came out Just tasked with using the tool in order to make things for social media like it it seems so

41:47 Blindingly obvious now we're saying it out loud but like some people have commissioned people Like the door brothers and other things if they don't have the internal team to deal with this But this seems like a smart move you know yeah unless they went down the route of let's just Get people to use it first use them forward their stuff look at what we're doing on runway speak to Them and then eventually go and do it themselves so they might have just used people using their Platform for the last well in this specific case it was this new app that they've launched so this Is what paul this is something extra he's brought in to the show here must be more recent like The idea was that they just used this one luggage and this one reference image and they used the ad Concept to basically build the whole rest of the story so whenever we saw it falling down the

42:35 Pyramid or you know all of that stuff that wasn't ever a reference image that it was given it's Just through the text prompting it's able to make these things and then you can add them to your First and last frames or your reference images to cling and so isn't that crazy you have a general Idea you have two images you come to runway you come out with an ad it's really really mad the Workflow these days like but there must be more to it you can't just stick that in and it creates That you must be no so so what happens right is like well you have to go and use it to try it like It's hard to explain it in principle but with those two reference images alone essentially like It has nano banana baked into it so you can like use the ad templater to say you know here's my

43:22 General idea and it will start to create images for you that get added and added so you only need To come with a few things and you can build loads and loads on top of it. Like this scene here, look, where it's rolling through. Um, this was all part of the sort of reference image initially, wasn't it? It was like an urban environment and the suitcase, but then when it goes to other Places like this ship and all of this with the cat and then down the pyramids and All of this other stuff that will have been added through nano banana via the Runway ad platform. Wow. That's great. Build grids basically we've been experimenting with this too actually where you say here's my Idea here's my reference images build me a bunch of grids and luma agents can do this and other

44:07 Places can do this free pick spaces and stuff you can create weavy flows for this there's loads of Ways in order to come with just a few images and come out with something like this which is just Like guys the new bar for advertising you know we're at a crazy we're at a crazy new level Where yeah like I think the hardest thing is this I'm really glad they built that app you know why Um the door brothers too which I'm going to be meeting up with soon in a lisbon event which is Pretty cool um they built door labs which was the same idea which was you know drag your image in Create a three by three grid of other images relating to that image because that storyboarding Is the hard thing for non-visual creators it's like this idea to make all the visuals yourself

44:56 Is a lot harder than just coming with one or two and then being able to expand and expand and expand Which is yeah the new way to do things hey james how's it going thanks for tuning in buddy Me appreciate you hey James love the story that's what CPPs are for absolutely I agree And and like I said earlier runway CPP has been the best to us of all of the CPPs we're in runway Is never asked for anything they enrolled us from our first gen 48 competition final we've been in It since uh it's been a breeze it's been very very very nice to have that so we're going back Into runway and using that all of a sudden literally it's crazy how we flip between these

45:42 Tools isn't it it's like suddenly this new one comes out and everyone's got like vo 3.1 through That app earlier I said that's where everyone's going to go and get you know 3.1 for the cheapest Warray and uh yeah but cling and c dance in runway is a game changer it really makes the competition Like different now because before it was just foundational model versus foundational model Now it's an aggregator everyone's got every everybody else's tool who's making the best Workspace who's making it the most collaborative who's making it the most shareable you know all Of these other bits that are on top of the AI layer. Anyway, let's keep going. Um, this next one is a Samsung galaxy ad, and this is a real ad as in like it

Samsung Galaxy's AI ad from Austria

46:30 Was AI generated, but it's in a real official thing for Samsung galaxy and Samsung electronics in Austria. Uh, newly opened AI studio trippy pictures created this and it was produced by. Yeah. Wendelin Antnan at Trippie Pictures. Agency was Wine Nord Service Plan and the director was Thomas. I'm just going to stop butchering these names and we'll give all the links in the Loomer and let's just watch it. Inside, shining bright, I see the beauty come alive

47:18 Future's near, who me is starting And I'm set to fly Destiny calling, I'm ready to ignite Chasing the glory and reaching through the heights Since I ain't been up for long And with every heartbeat I'm feeling it Open my eyes Vision is clear, dreams ignite, hearts focused right Thrilling in hopes, but it's not true It's not the dream, it's not the dream It's a distance, galaxy shining I'm gonna wait on that eye See the world in your light, see the glowing shine

48:08 And this vision's all by it all night Catching moments, finding beauty every time Future's here, craving more than that, boy These stars with memories guiding us All through the night, daylighting up I feel it take us higher Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh Infinite chances, can't we keep shining? I know you don't let out See the world in blue light See the glow it shines Deadless visions are mine Infinite tears I know I know you don't let out

48:56 See the world in blue light See the glow it shines Deadless visions are mine I know I got endless possibilities. I know I got endless possibilities. Gosh, that was so much in one, wasn't it? It was like a K-pop music video with loads of products in, but mixed media, as Jimmy Pointed out in the comments, you know, this idea of like anime with real life and mixing The media. Uh, yeah, kind of crazy that this was like the first, like of its kind in terms of Samsung Doing AI. Like this is a very ambitious long piece to make, isn't it? I've got to say it's quite long as well. And I think, I think what, who nailed it was,

49:44 Um, is it Zig Ziggurat? And they said spot on with the target audience. Right. And that's the thing when it comes to advertising guys, remember, you know, you May not be in the target audience and I have to constantly remind people that are not an Advertising that, you know, this wasn't made for you. This wasn't meant to get you. And so, yeah, that's a very good point. Uh, very spot on comment, actually spot on with the target spot on comment with, About it being at the target because yeah, it's clearly for a Gen Z or Something audience, you know, it's, um, it's definitely not for us in terms of Like who it's aimed at, but the product integration, like here, I was like

50:29 And the watch too you know and uh like it all looks really really like this part I was like wow That looks really convincing and um yeah it is a bit long as lara says um the whole piece I don't Know where its distribution is is it a social media is a tv advert that's the thing that we're Missing here is where this is made from I would thought not tv right like more of a social media A piece but like yeah kind of the music video element threw me off initially I was like Yeah this is a music video at the end bit you're gonna see it in a minute when she's walking and She's looking at you can see it's through the phone and then that bit and it zooms out of the Phone oh no she's walking down the street and then it zooms out of the phone into behind her

51:16 Um that that bit ah yeah yeah endless possibilities nice little strap line as well then cut to the Galaxy, yeah, 26 Ultra Samsung. Yeah, smart. You know, like I said, it is smart. Maybe the idea was to have like a chopped up version for like other placements, You know, cause often that's the pace is we're looking at the long form piece, but Then there's micro chunk versions of this, but in different distribution points, who Knows, but yeah, an interesting piece to find. I'll tell you that I was like, whoa, this is official. This is in Austria. That's Samsung Austria. Yes. That's weird that they've done this K-pop and this K-pop's big over there. I don't know. I don't, like I said, we may be missing out on a local nuance where K-pop's kicking off in Australia or something like this.

52:04 An insight like that. We have no idea. But yeah, but I'm glad you brought that up and that you highlighted that comment, mate, because every time that we're watching some real advertising, we need to really take that into account. Like the thing that always strikes me, right. Is remember those moldy Burger King whoppers that they had all over the Out there, they were not meant for me and other people, you know, but the People that they were meant for it, one Fernando, the guy that used to be the Head of Burger King multiple awards and like, you know, it re like, cause The brief was McDonald's cause, and this was the insight that everyone missed is There was a guy on YouTube with hundreds of millions of views that had been Keeping a McDonald's inside the sealed glass jar without any mold growing

What if you're not the target audience?

52:51 In whatsoever. The idea being that this is such plastic food that it doesn't even give mold, You know, and Burger King were like, well, We can make this insight incredibly insightful by showing an incredibly moldy Burger King, I.e. all of our ingredients are organic, natural and stuff. But that when you just see a moldy burger on the billboard and you're like, What is this? That's gross. You don't understand what the advert target was and why that was made. And, you know, a lot of the insights may be a missed on you. Now people argue that's not good advertising. You know, it's not good advertising. If I need to know the insight and stuff, it should be more applicable in general. But again, it's all by your measure of advertising. If it converts to buyers, if it converts the right people, it's worked.

53:38 And, and the biggest thing in advertising, what I always hate is getting a brief Target everyone because that means you want to target no one you know so it's always one of those Things that with advertising yeah anyway let's keep sorry mate go on yeah true right yeah very Very true uh and in some in the comments it says you know it could also be due to different socials In Asia it wasn't Asia I believe it was Austria um social media platforms across the world are Very different in terms of settings yeah uh Martin said k-pop demon hunters yeah I know that made Worldwide yeah yeah in the box office yeah brilliant campaigns simply because people talked About it yeah yeah that's that's the thing if the people talk about does your audience talk about it

54:23 Or ultimately do they buy do they create awareness do they create either buyers or contributors you Know that's kind of what you want every brand wants buyers yes they buy the product but contributors Help with those soft metrics that it's hard to measure but everyone needs it for example um trust Uh right action impact all of these things so I think you need you definitely need both Metrics and kpis and advertising just differ I I was saying to paul right before the show I'm going to do a little segue here first of all I'm going to say luca thanks for joining us man I'm going to be doing a stream with luca in the future he's another great person on linkedin that Talks constantly about ai so we're going to be doing streams together and stuff from the future Thanks for joining us but yeah yes luke is great and uh yeah I've been tuning into a few of his

55:12 Live events and they're really really good and yeah we're going to be doing some in the future But yeah going back to the idea of like um advertising is not as subjective as everyone Thinks you know a lot of people consider it like art or music and that you know anyone can sort of Appreciate it and think they know good art and good music and stuff but there is a subjectivity To advertising specifically in that it has to move the needle. Yeah. Does it get customers? Does it really, you know, work? Like there's an actual like End point, whereas art, you can say, well, anyone can make art for any interpretation and, and, And any other reason advertising actually needs to do something, you know, it's so that's why it's Not as subjective as the other forms of like, you know, creative that we have out there.

56:02 Anyway yeah exactly that's the ultimate it's a huge kpop scene in austria that makes so much sense That's the insight we were missing right there who knew that there was a huge k-pop scene in austria Certainly samsung when they commissioned that ad I can tell you that you know like that's the Insight that lots of people when it comes to seeing ads miss because they go that's not good I don't Like it it's like who cares they're not trying to sell to you yeah so I always keep that in mind Whenever I'm watching something is that I may not personally like this but does it move the needle With the people that it should do because that is the goal understanding target market is key yes It's exactly right and everyone that's worked in advertising or marketing will tell you this you

56:51 Know it really is like it's a no there's no way you can get around it like I said if you're trying To be for everyone you are for no one by definition almost because it's impossible that like to match The biopersona of a gen z with the biopersona of like a you know a baby boomer like it's just not Going to be even close and anyway let's keep yeah oh yeah yeah just keep playing I was just going to Say it's more uh you need to be more relevant more specific more targeted now more than ever just Purely because exactly in the traditional world it was different when you only had tv radio and Print but now because you've got the internet and you've got different channels you get different Niches different sub niches yeah um yeah it's so important attention is so fractional you know it's

57:39 Everywhere now as you said it's like sometimes I hear places and I'm like I don't even know what Platform that is I'm like what is that you know like I heard one the other day billy billy or Something which is the youtube of china and I was just like whoa there's millions of c dance users On this platform that I'd never even heard of yeah so this is like I said fraction fractured Distribution let's keep going though the next one uh excited to see that the door brothers have Poked their head out again they've uh been involved in the dromina ai launch trailer so a few people Have done this basically is dromina have commissioned pieces from well-known creators To say that this was made with c dance and because it's becoming more available so let's watch it

The Dor Brothers' Dreamina launch trailer

59:02 Exhale. Come on! Get off me! Oh, my God. That's my son.

59:59 What? So epic, isn't it? That was brilliant. Yeah yeah so clever and yes as martin's sorry go on you remember a couple of weeks ago you played That sport one and it was going from one sport to another um but it just was it just wasn't like Quite there yeah this is there you know this is a great concept I I agree I agree and someone in the Comments actually I think it was uh martin said clever idea for showing a wide range of genres Exactly what I thought too. They're so clever with the way they hop between

1:00:46 Worlds, aren't they? They make it make sense in the story as well. And that's The smart thing when you, you know, the door brothers is gonna be epic. It's Gonna have a twist and it's gonna be like full on, you know, like it's gonna be Like rapid fire changing. And this is what that was. It's like, I love the idea Too, of bringing the prompt box up and the twist. You know, Samurai to cooking Show one was hilarious where they're like suddenly got mini daggers that they're shopping Up the vegetables with and it's so good yeah it's true and it's so watchable too isn't It like as a trailer for a platform where you're like oh wow all of this is available Through c dance this is incredible you know like so yeah yeah I mean I mean the thing

1:01:35 That we we all wish we had was the door brothers ideas you know it's like yes we all have access To this platform now but these guys and their ideas and getting that sort of epic trailer That's unique to them that's really unique to them and it's it's awesome to see that germina Commissioned this you know like and other people as well that they've signed on to the cpp they've Asked them knowing that they're the best users of the tools so even though they're the two providers Analyzing that their users are best externally, like the door brothers and Stuff like this. And then they're going to them saying, look, we want you to make something in The anticipation of the launch of this and giving them a commission project to Actually go away and make. And we'd like some of these, if you guys are, you know, doing stuff like this,

1:02:24 If you're watching and you provide a tool and you want to commission piece Like this, we honestly think this is a great brief because when a tool says Like c dance for example showcase what you can do with the platform is this is the type of thing you Make isn't it it's like loads of different genres loads of different formats like really showing All of it or you can go another way make something very specific and great storytelling but shows off The tool in a different way you know um yeah kind of incredible yeah see google someone said google Vo4 people are going to be queuing around the corner for it oh yeah yeah yeah yeah you know If I'm c dance I'll be thinking can we bring out c dance 2.5 before google brings out four Because that'll be another that'll be a big statement you know that will be a really big

1:03:13 Statement and yeah the race is on this year guys like we thought that the ai video race heated up Last year it's in like you know so many more players added to the game but this year is going Are going to start bolting you know for that finish line which if anyone can get the master Tool for ai video the c dance seems to be the closest honestly yeah google maybe you might be Sitting on something but you know what we didn't talk about last week so oh the cancellation yeah Is it to the point where sora became that irrelevant it became that irrelevant that's Biggest downs in ai so far because do you know what my guess is it's not the irrelevancy of it

Why did Sora fall away?

1:04:05 It's the million dollar a day cost to run it no what I mean by that million dollars a day Users to us oh I see irrelevant we didn't even mention it last week like oh well that's Interesting isn't it that's how far of a cliff saw uh well it did fall off a lot like um and Sort of opened in a weird way too because remember it had that social media side where it encouraged Users to go to the sore social and everything like this I remember our good friend of the podcast tim Actually created an avatar and rourke if you remember had created his own but he had to use His wife's uh mobile phone because it was through the american yeah yeah because us as normies Outside of the usa didn't uh get this like saw a character you know uh ability ever by the way it

1:04:57 Ever rolled that out to us. Yeah. Um, and it died before it actually got to that point. But mate, you talk about this a lot, right? Like cost is, I don't like to bring it up a lot because we're in CPPs and I Feel very fortunate that we don't have to pay for credits a lot, but Sora lost 99% of its users and at $20 a month for the chats, you know, it was Unsustainably losing a million dollars a day. Like it was one of the worst business plan rollouts for a video model. Ever seen yeah unsustainable from day one apparently um and it became more and more Unsustainable as time went on so it was it was just they didn't think about like who's using this

1:05:42 Because in sora it was just a load of like slop wasn't it let's be honest it was just slop that No one was monetizing no one was buying no one was actually getting money out of this They're just paying to make slop of themselves and their friends and it was a challenge that When they were doing that slot you're then competing with meta grok exactly extent with Their with their smaller like um video ones who's got deeper pockets these guys have got deep deep Pockets so they can afford to be do it as like a little like problem child uh platform just to Keep people on the platform or get data or whatever open ai couldn't someone also said in the chat Earlier that they talking about chat gpt that they said they received their first ad someone whoever

1:06:31 Said it just oh yeah what the experience was like when I saw that I thought so sad to see The ads um it's kind of crazy isn't it but yeah I'm getting agreements here for the it was a slop Up generating machine. It was fun, but useless. Exactly. That's the exact way I would, I would put it. And, uh, you know, what was crazy though? And these, there's two bits of news that I can wrap into this before we quickly move on. First of all, you mentioned about deep pockets there opening. I just had the biggest raise of all time at 144 billion, which is unbelievable. But now thinking about that, you know, that money is best served to monetizable products, you know, not Sora still, even with all that.

OpenAI's $144 billion raise and the end of the Disney deal

1:07:18 Well, not just that, but just the LLM and the things that they're better at. Let's be honest. I mean, enterprise for LMs and other stuff that cause stuff. But on the other side of the news, you know, Disney had a massive deal with Sora, you know, that's then fell through. And this was IP licensed characters for the first time legit in a platform. And now does that mean all those sort of deals are off the table because open AI is out of that bargain or will now, you know, Disney go to run. Runway, for example, the second or one of the bigger ones that's had the official partnerships Because they've got Lionsgate and Tribeca and they might look at Runway now as an alternative They might just do their own thing. I wouldn't be surprised. You know, Disney looks at the whole, let's give us. Oh yeah, true. And then Disney plus.

1:08:04 So there's nothing stopping them launching their own. Yeah. Or even acquiring a platform that can do it for them because that's what Elon did with Grok. He acquired hotshot. If you're there I've always said that I think that if you look at if I was apple and I wanted to get In the game the four people the four companies I would be looking to spend a substantial amount Of billions on would be 11 labs runway mid journey and perplexity once I get those four I'm I'm in the game already I'm in the game already disney interesting choice I know disney's got Apple type money but disney could get into the game very very quickly as well you know so I would Imagine they do have apple type money or netflix I won't be surprised if netflix yeah you know

1:08:50 That's the netflix innovation hub is really exciting actually like I'm seeing more and more News about that not just the you know the headline news like the ben affleck uh like actual innovation Happening and it's interesting so yeah as you said mate these are all places where they're going to Be looking at these tools and going, what can we easily incorporate in our tool? And what can we acquire if, because I think Apple's even come to a point now where They're just like, we can't, you know, keep up with this and we need to acquire it, But we'll see. There may be other breakthroughs. Who knows? Anyway, let's keep going with the videos. The last one at this section is a Nokia spec ad. Haven't heard from Nokia in a while. This is a spec ad. So not officiate or official with Nokia in any way.

Nokia 3310 spec ad by Giancarlo Saldarriaga

1:09:36 One is by Giancarlo Salda Riga and it was using nano banana pro clean 3.0 and Omni and via free pick spaces. Let's check it out.

1:10:48 I rip your heart out from your chest Replace it with a grenade blast Incinerate Incinerate So I'll say with this one we all miss our 3310 don't we I mean that was actually the comment In the post is I had this idea because I randomly found my 3310 in a draw one day And you know I thought of a spec ad for nokia this isn't officially associated with nokia etc

1:11:34 Et cetera. Now I'll give the compliment sandwich and me and Paul discuss this straight away. We love the visuals for this one and the music choice and the pacing and the styling, But the payoff wasn't quite Simon Mayer's sunscreen on the Dracula. You know, at the end of this, There was no payoff that was like, we're building to a big thing here. And that was the twist or Something, you know, it was just good visuals and good music choice and that, but it was a nicer A payoff here I think it would have been a really really compelling spec ad so just if the creator Ever sees this you know a nice payoff at the end would have been nice what would be a payoff then I'll ask you and everyone in the chat what would be a payoff for this I kind of yeah is like they

What makes a good payoff in a spec ad?

1:12:20 Acknowledge we're in the nokia club but I'm thinking what what would be the payoff I know Maybe the premise itself needs a bit more work then you know because the idea of following this Retro feel and all of this I think he I think this person that we're seeing is the creators and he Placed himself in this ad you know like um so again that's a great idea but you know it's just This nostalgia he nailed at the beginning and it could have had a really nice twist and payoff at The end you know like it's just what what needed to make this a little bit more of a payoff piece Is the only sort of criticism but like I said love the style love the shots love the choice So many elements yeah in this one you know what I think the payoff would be so uh ziggurat you've

1:13:09 Been coming up some good comments ziggurat like all sessions I have to pick you up there you said I felt it stopped in the middle of the store of a story I would say all they needed to do there All he needed to do there was just say to be continued that was it that's the payoff to be Continued and then everyone be like all right what's the next one gonna be because they know That they just met that's the payoff for that ad I think that would be a really a really uh because Then you'd be thinking what's next I like that I just as a tldr comment as well paul saying if You're wondering why you can't watch this one on the repeat is because youtube's definitely going To flag that song you know and so we're going to have to sadly edit it out um so you watched it on The live show and that's the reason for showing up live others that go and watch this afterwards

1:13:54 Will not see that piece because the music choice albeit brilliant is a very very copyrighted uh Piece of music yeah yeah so sage sage ai video sage let's go man it was great to meet you at bionic Actual legend here could have typed something funny onto the phone yes these sorts of things Are exactly the type of like little you know in the samsung ad when he's coming out of the phone That was the bit that you clung on to andrew you know it's stuff like that that was missing This piece you know the the wow moments or the capture or the the the payoff you know there's No other way for it it's the payoff is yeah I like teresa's or california gil cg the end should

1:14:40 Have uh should have her in bed with him the next day showing the cool worked yeah yeah definitely I like that oh man I'm being told who uh the mystery great commenter is this is awesome Uh, yeah, so it's our tour, which is awesome. So yeah, I know exactly who they said the difference is right. When you're tuning in through LinkedIn, we can see your name and then through YouTube And Eric and others, you know, they've got different handles and stuff. So yeah. Um, that's why it's so informed mate. We're literally talking to someone very, very informed there. Yeah. Good. Some good comments from this person. Let me check out their YouTube down. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Right. Let's keep going. So we're in the new section now. These are all submitted to us.

How to submit your work so we can open it

1:15:29 Some of the submissions didn't allow for the access to the Google drive. So Just as a note for people accessing the form to submit stuff, obviously you need to make your Shareable link drive, make it shareable before you share it to us because it's still on private. So we went to try and access some of them for this week and sadly, you know, had to request Access and stuff like that. So, uh, make sure that you, yeah, in the Google drive, Share with all permissions, anyone that has the link, I think it is or something like that. Um, but this first piece is by Jeff Alu and it's called grow it and shrink it Rayguns ad. The concept here was to create an ad about a fictitious toy from the past that could have Been devastating, that could have devastating consequences through illustrated though,

Grow-It and Shrink-It Ray Guns by Jeff Alu

1:16:18 Illustrated in the somewhat harmless looking shell the implications of these devices existing would Be disastrous note this was actually posted back in december so this is a three-month-old piece Um and we're sharing it because it's a really fun concept and it doesn't matter that it's not made With the latest basically so it made the show congratulations let's watch it are you sick and Tired of all your toys being too small? Well then there's only one toy you'll ever need. Introducing the Grow It Ray Gun. Just point it at any of your existing toys and watch Them grow before your very eyes. And don't be surprised if they come to life as well. Or how about giving your dollhouse a blast and watching your dolls multiply like rabbits?

1:17:06 Are you bored with your current friends or just want a new companion? Well the Grow It As well. You'll be the envy of all your friends as you run through the Neighborhood with your new best buddy. And what to do if you accidentally make Yourself too big? Well, that's where the shrink-it ray gun comes into play. Just Use the shrink-it ray gun to shrink yourself back down to size. And while You're at it, why not shrink your big sister? Now wait a minute, I wouldn't do That if I were you. Before you know it, the entire neighborhood will be getting The grow it and shrink it ray guns are really the only new toys you'll need this year

1:18:07 How fun right like that's it doesn't need to be c dance the idea shines through like the idea of Like a giant suffice ray gun and a shrinkify ray gun and the voice over the visuals it all really Works you know if they've done it on c dance today because of the style it would I don't think it'd Be that much difference like I don't think yeah just because of that retro style it kind of just Worked it would have just like fixed up some of the physics issues like here when they're running And stuff you know like that's the only thing that c dance would really bring to this so again it's They matter so much more than the tools that you're using. We're now in a stage where this was made in December,

1:18:53 Like with the tools that were available in December. And this is a very watchable piece in April of the next year when we've got Seedance and all this other stuff, you know, but yeah, Submit your own work here. We definitely want you to submit it. Like I said, With the right Google drive link and permissions and everything like that, Just because we've been struggling to get access to some of them. Uh but yeah thank you so much for submitting we've got a whole section of your guys stuff now Um that you've been submitting we've got three more uh let's check them out sage if you're still Watching I believe that you've made the cut this week man so I think we've got a piece in there as Well thank you so much for submitting and watching the show really appreciate it uh the next one is Uh so we're going back to runway ad contest entries here but this was one that was actually

Thirsty, a horror soda ad by Abhinava Sanyal

1:19:40 Submitted to us. So one of our followers made this one. This one is by Abinav Sanyal. It's a Horror comedy that takes the fizz soda brief to its extreme. These ones were using Nano Banana 2 And Kling 3.0 on runway. Let's check it out. Eee! Eee! Eee!

1:20:26 Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! Eee! I'm thirsty, I'm so thirsty. What? Give me the fizz! Soda. So good that even the dead can't resist it. Again, such a different take. I don't think we've watched any horror entries to this runaway ad competition Because horror doesn't necessarily go with advertising hand in hand like that.

1:21:11 Got the idea and you can pull it off with these sort of visuals. And yeah, you got submitted to the show. You got picked by our producer. You're now on the show, you know? So this is what happens guys. It's like these competitions and Paul will say this specifically, they inspire you to Entry because of the things that they put up. And this can of fizzy drink was one of those things that they put up. So this person probably thought, you know what? I've got a twist on this can that nobody's probably thinking of that I'll enter and look unique with Horror and uh great you know like again make it your own make it more personal give it your twist Give it give it your punch line but the thing is imagine one way they did a like a an event

1:21:58 And then they were selling fizz they just made up and started selling fizz people would buy it Because of the advert they'll be like I'll buy it yeah no that's the that's what you could Potentially be the next thing and even four films who's four four films again that's jimmy Me yeah that's it I know they're not supposed to be real products but is anyone selling physio Yeah money money money there's money I mean I honestly thought there's so much bigger things At play here you know a real brand could go to one of these ai platforms and get thousands of You know, and then pick their favorite to make into a real ad with real budgets, Real briefs. This is so possible. We've seen it happen in COVID times through one minute briefs and other Places like this, you know, it already exists.

Will brands crowdsource ads through AI platforms?

1:22:43 It's like an alternate to like the agency model if you like, because a brand can Go with a large chunk of money and go right. Mr. One big agency, give us your few ideas and we'll make one of those into a Thing. Otherwise you go to an AI platform and go, will your users make thousands of entries? But you've got to be set up for that. You know, you've got to set up to watch thousands of entries and brands don't want that yet. And, um, but it's gonna, it's gonna happen. It's gonna happen in the near future. You know, mark my words on that brands will start. I mean, they're already coming to us directly anyway, you know, so why not go through an AI platform to wield a whole load of us at one point or another? It's gonna definitely happen. Yeah someone said anyway curious refuge do that I think something that you you mentioned about

1:23:31 Similar to the ad yes yes they probably did martin you're right I believe curious refuge because They're now under the wing of promise as well will likely get a lot of these big brand opportunities To do like ugc type competitions and stuff I know that they had some like we had halon who won their Anime competition or animation competition uh but they do loads of competitions with real prize money And yeah, it's really smart that they do that, by the way. Love those guys. Going to be seeing them hopefully this month, actually. Dave Clark and all of those guys. I'm really excited to see them again. Is that the Lisbon event? No, this one's in Cannes in France. Nice. Yeah, the World AI Film Festival, I think it is. Oh, wow. Nice. I know, really exciting.

Is London becoming a hub for AI creators?

1:24:18 Like I said, this show is really starting to get us real interesting places. Us and people are submitting to the show that we've never had submit to the show Before. Sage is someone that I met in person at Bionic, which is another thing That I hosted that all came through the show as well. And you know, we're Starting to get the London group, the big ups, the London massive bros. We're starting to get us like organized. We're competing against no offense, you Guys tuning in from America, but you've been dominating us since this whole AI I think kicked off and finally us Europeans are yeah, exactly. Let's go London massive. Let's go. Let's go London. Guys, we're getting organized.

1:25:04 We're starting to see the fruits of our, like, you know, years in this game. And now people are bringing like free pick, right? First London event in upscale. And that was awesome. It was so good to me. And like they're based in Malaga, but usually they'd go to New York and San Francisco and that's where their previous events have been. But London is now, you know, on up there with the places to host an event that They know loads of great creators can get there. Uncanny Harry was there. You know, some of the goats, some of the greatest in the game are coming up Because they're all in London. And so big ups to the London crew. The next stage is can we get anything in the north because outside of london

1:25:49 Pretty much manchester and liverpool I don't hear anything around where I am and it's hard to go down To london a lot but you know let's just take it one step at a time let's get it yeah let's start With london and we get I like what original marz the great brit ai and I like that I love that Well, big ups, Sage, your next up mate. Like I said, um, you sent us your fizz soda entry runway ad competition. Now, funnily enough, we settle this. He used Sora two with this, but you also use cling three, I believe. But let us know more in the comments, Sage about, you know, exactly how this Came to be great American brain drain. I'm originally from New York living in London.

SAGE's FIZZ monster ad

1:26:35 Let's go baby. All right let's watch your piece we are going to go live now to street level what you are about to See is we want to warn viewers this footage may be disturbing Oh hell no Oh, my God.

1:27:41 The VFX that we can do these days, guys is crazy, isn't it? Like that isn't even with C dance that's with cling and Sora too. So it's, it's mental. Like I think about the budget. So we used to see in advertising for VFX like this, you know, with a giant green Monster and the CGI and VFX pipelines that would have cost hundreds of thousands Of dollars to create. To think that we can now do this type of thing you know like it's it is new territory if you like It's exciting new territory I actually posted this one on my linkedin as well yes he gave you a shout Out sage in the run-up to the show I've got to say that yeah andrew I I sent this piece over to Andrew to like advertise that the show was going on so go and check andrew's profile for him posting

1:28:28 It as well and you're so welcome man um incredible vfx you know like you really nailed the monster See the monster and it felt real you know like as obviously not real real but like as in like It felt like the same monster from shot to shot he did a really good job with the continuity there And this news part at the start was a nice little entry into this epicness here where you know the Footsteps stamps down and the the concrete's crumbling and you know the physics looks right We weren't brought out of the moment and yeah he did a really good job the port-a-loo bit was Hilarious yeah I like the port a little bit I think with your trousers down the thing that Stood out to me immediately when I saw it was I was watching the news clip right at the beginning

1:29:13 And I said to myself what's the difference between this and the real news you know this might seem Real news all of that seems far-fetched what's going on as well so I know it was like oh god This is where we are in in where real life and ai is pretty much at the same the same point now Don't we? Yeah. It's yeah. Thanks again, Sage for, you know, Putting that on the show and submitting that to our link. As I said earlier, Please make sure. Yeah. Good luck in the comp. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Great that you got that done in time as well. Hey, Gonna be at cans as well. In fact,

1:29:59 On here because shared it on the WhatsApp really impressed. Ah, Thank you so much. Really appreciate that comment. Much appreciated. Yeah. If you guys are getting to events, let us know, you know, where should we be? If you guys, because I'm finding these things in Lisbon and things like you Mentioned earlier, mate, and I'm like, whoa, this is Dramina's first time in Europe and I know the person running it, it turned out. And then, yeah, it's a small circle. We all think AI is for the masses, but yeah, it seems to be the same people Who are involved over and over again. Way is one of the organizers of these events in London too. And I'm going to be attending his events in the future. I had an awful clash with the cans one for his one, which, and then my mom's Coming up the other day that he was trying to do, but like, again,

1:30:47 Picking up the London, like organizers and yeah, people are starting to Really move the needle now. It's so awesome to see it happening and by you guys that are watching the show As well you know like it's yeah get us there we want to be there we want to get involved We want to just big up the scene amazing scene yeah creative ai network we're doing good on Timing this week I've noticed we're rattling through them it's because last week we had a Guest didn't we we had alex and he wasn't really used to the show format of being like rapid fire You know uh like videos maybe I should have done a better job at explaining to him that the show is Just like you know a ridiculous amount of submissions these days of high quality stuff From people all over the world hey you're welcome for the shout out martin I've always said this

1:31:37 Show reminds me of a radio show you know it's just that rather than play music it's just the The the videos that's the music that we play and then we talk to the community the community Talks back to us and it's just the just a nice a nice little thing thing I like it right so we're The show where it's just free form almost there's a bit of music videos there's some short films There's a bit of a mixture of music video and short films in some of the pieces so it's a bit All over the place but I kind of love it and it's a really nice way to close out the show this next One is a conceptual short film slash music video so exactly like I'm saying slash spec ad is kind Of a bit of everything really um this one is by jesus tirada gomez it's a conceptual short film

A conceptual short film by Jesús Terrada Gómez

1:32:27 Heavy symbolism and a bunch of workflows in between. It's a hundred percent AI generated from the title card to the last frame. So even the title card and all of that, that we're going to see is AI generated. And it was using cling 3.0, nano banana two and C does all made through free Prick. Let's check it out. So

1:33:39 Fascinating visual style hey like just the amount of cuts and like changes of the visuals and style Of this one was the thing that really made it into the curation list honestly I love these Transitions too you know from side to side and like the constant flicking of characters and Like I said it was like a music video a spec ad a short film everything really yeah if I saw someone With a gap t-shirt I wouldn't be surprised it just reminds me of like a type ad yeah that is just That's why we put spec out in there too because this could be like an artsy sort of like clothing Brand type ad as well you know it really could just slap a logo on any of these t-shirts as you Said like it could be mango it could be gap it could be any one of those big like yeah any of

1:34:26 Those yeah yeah but cool huh like just visually this one really caught me because it's so short Too that's the thing that got me is like so much was in in such a short clip here that it was like Whoa this is it almost felt a bit too much at some stages where it's like flicking so fast So that your brain can't really get the analogies like that. But you know, where it's like cuts That are like, you know, splits of a second or whatever. But I think that like led to the overall Feeling of it being an experimental short film type thing, you know, without a brand behind it, It was just made for being very creative, clearly like, you know, but yeah, the transitions I loved, They were my favorite bit.

1:35:12 Like the way that things cut between like this coming out the water and Flicking between characters and scenes. So effortlessly, Effortlessly seemingly, You know, You could tell that person's been an art director for a long time by Watching that. You're like, This person has got a lot of style and repertoire. Like normal, Say normal, But people with no experience working in the world of art direction and Creativity would never be able to envision that of that so he definitely has some form of background In that and I look for styles like that nowadays and this next one is a great segue because this One was the most visually interesting bionic award winner and it's actually by an african creator

A Short Film by Malik Afegbua

1:35:59 And he didn't even give this one a title he's kind of interesting he just called this one a short Film that's all he said this one is by malik afegwebe afegwebe I'm really bad at pronouncing Names like I said but yeah he was a bionic award winner for his music video and we saw this piece After following him since that awards and you pointed out this piece as well mate you actually Submitted this piece and we said this is one of the pieces that um really stood out to us as well So it met both of our curation for this week yeah this was from anita anita sent me this one as well Again, if you've got people, if you want to suggest other people's content, that is more than fine to do as well. You know, it doesn't have to be yours that you submit. So yeah. Anyway, without further ado, let's check it out.

1:36:46 Reports coming in that the moon appears to be getting closer. These people have come again. Hi, how can I help you? Reports coming in about the moon shifting in gravitational force, and it's moving closer to Earth. So are you still having those weird dreams of yours? It has even become more intense this past couple of weeks. You and your imaginative mind. It feels so real, though. Sorry for barging in like this, but I think we have a problem. As of today, it is too late. Please seek shelter underground as soon as possible.

1:37:35 Oh, it's starting! We have to run now! Oh my! You mean as real as that? Oh, oh.

1:38:37 Don't leave me! We have more pressing issues to talk about. Sorry, I have to cut your funding. I quit.

1:39:22 What do you mean you quit? No, you can't quit now, Michael. We have twins on their way Oh my god this one had everything didn't it it was just the lenses yeah the lenses that swapped Out you know the fisheye lens the broken lens as someone pointed out like like the just the Different like the shaky camera feel when they're running up the staircase you know like every Element felt real and incredibly well pulled off piece you know yeah this is why we need diverse Voices in the ai space by the way you know like this is the one of the exact reasons because

1:40:08 Stuff like this is incredibly watchable content and you know I just don't know without ai how This creator would make something this cinematic because at one point how much budget that would Cost like these are the type of ideas that were just abandoned because the vfx pipeline was oh That's a million or so dollars and all these actors and this wave like specifically you know All of that is what is it the day after tomorrow or ever that giant way you know there's films that Cost hundreds of millions of dollars with this same premise like uh the thing is you wouldn't Even think about doing this like you might have this idea but no right mentioning it because That scene alone cost a million and we'll never be able to get that type of budget so

1:40:56 But now obviously you can and what this is a like I just thought it was gripping I was like two Minutes I was it's only that's incredibly engaging this is really good this scene here specifically I don't know what they call it the broken lens there was great but the little tuk-tuk thing you Know, as they call it in Thailand, the little like car thing, the winner smashed Through the bridge and the physics of it bouncing on the broken concrete. And it looks so real this part with the shaky camera going up the staircase. It feels really dramatic. The tanks flying around, you know, the massive it's mental. This VFX was like on steroids, like really, truly on steroids. Uh, this dog one with the fisheye lens lit with the camera on the dog back A dog again like there was no need for that it was just adding to the repertoire of what was

1:41:46 Really cool in this you know just another perspective five years earlier this bit yeah That's what the payoff was great too this is the payoff we were talking about earlier guys you know All of that is great vfx but what point was there and it was cut to this is why it happened you know Five years earlier they cut the funding and this all could have been stopped and that's the payoff Were waiting and expecting from the ad piece earlier but this short film really delivered Everything like the premise the characters the vfx the payoff everything as a short film this is one Of the best ones I've seen unbelievable as someone puts it in fact that is the word for it because It is truly not possible before ai that someone like him could make this sort of thing and like

1:42:34 Anyone could make this sort of thing you know like this is this is marvel budget you know like this Big, big, big, big, big budgets. As someone who has been to many African countries, this is crazy. Good. I'm crying as I live as an action film producer. Why am I spending 60 million on my next movie? I mean, we're in crazy territories, right? Like this, like I said, has never before been possible. And many, like you mentioned earlier, Andrew, Netflix innovation are really Taking this seriously now you know because cgi and vfx and all of this to make original shows and Movies and it costs an arm and a leg and we even made a funny like analogy about how much it costs

1:43:19 When um who was it that actually bought like a ship or or a craft and crashed it because To do the cgi would have actually cost more than actually crashing the thing in real life you know The we're in new territories guys like really truly like vfx and pipelines you would see a lot Of like hype and bait about it on social media like look at this hundred million dollar action Film I just produced through c dance and stuff like that but when it's tastefully made like that Piece I'm truly blown away by it yeah but sadly they're not the ones that go viral in everyone's Timelines you know it's more of the just action for action's sake with no payoff and you know we

1:44:06 Line, more payoffs, more continuous use of why the action makes sense in the VFX. Yes, we've got it, but then what, you know, now take it to the next stage Of building in a story. And that's what this person has done. Great job. Really. Yes. Really outstanding job on that one. Right. Let's keep going. So, um, the next piece is a Wendy's wonderful dreamland created by Christopher Gwyn and Grindhouse Glitch. Wendy's Wonderful Dream World is an AI Technicolor fantasy film, And this is part one. It's around a depressed woman named Wendy living in a drudgery Tudor Victorian era England. It uses the power of her dreams to transport herself to dazzling fantasy

Wendy's Wonderful Dreamworld by Christopher Gwinn

1:44:51 Kingdoms where romance and adventure awaits. It was made with Sea Dance, Grok Image, Nano Banana, 11 labs, Suno topaz and Magnific. And we know all of that because you're submitting it, letting us know. So thank you guys really exclusive insights here. So all of that being said, let's watch it. Sorry I'm so late. The children were rather difficult today. My dear Wendy, always the dutiful one.

1:45:37 At your age you should be married and having children of your own. Things will change, Mother. I'm certain of it. Life's passing you by, my dear, and it breaks my heart. Did you eat any supper? If only there were somewhere, somewhere beautiful, somewhere with wonder, somewhere I could be free. This way, Wendy! Stay on the path, Wendy. You're almost there.

1:46:24 We're waiting for you, Wendy. I'm sorry. How do you like our garden? I apologize for startling you. I suppose you didn't expect to see anyone here. No. I mean, I didn't know what to expect.

1:47:11 Let's go for a walk. I'll try to shed some light on the situation. May I ask your name? You may call me Carvey. I'm Wendy. But I suppose you already know that. Indeed. This place, how should I say it, dreams itself into being. Even you. I should like to think I am more than a dream. I have to warn you, though, that there are rules here, Windy. Rules even I may not break. I hope you understand. I don't understand anything right now, but I will try. If you should choose to leave us and cross a threshold that returns you to the waking world, The mansion will erase every trace of you from its halls. Moreover, the world beyond will erase you in return. You will slip from every memory. You shall be as a shadow to those who once knew you. And should longing or regret ever pull you back here, the doors will have vanished forever. There is no second crossing. But enough of that for now. I'm sure you must be hungry. Please help yourself to whatever you like. Thank you. I'm starving.

1:47:57 Won't you be having anything? Perhaps later. You like it here, Wendy? Yes, it's all so beautiful. Well, then I must show you everything. Come, I have something to show you. Our house is at the heart of the realm. It's like a dream. It certainly is. And it stretches for eternity.

1:48:45 I dearly look forward to exploring the grounds. And I look forward to being your guide. Mother, how unexpected to see you here. I must speak to you alone carvey you may remain here young miss come Very very isn't that cool like that's an old film studio feel someone said earlier sort of like uh The Wizard of Oz ish type, you know, World that they built. Wizard of Oz, like it's that era.

1:49:30 Yeah, yeah. It's that era, isn't it? But isn't it so cool now that, you know, these worlds we can paint are so Diverse, like this looks like nothing else we've seen on the show this week. Like it's so visually unique and it really transported me back to that era, You know, that Victorian feel and the, like everything, you know, It was done well to the time period. Fall to the time period. Yeah. That's the way to say it. And it's a good, even the music, right? Yeah. Like every, every element, like even the lightning in the sort of like, you know, Blurry, you know, transitions there and stuff like, uh, kind of worked. And someone pointed out that the, the camera is sort of like going in and out

1:50:16 Sort of naturally, you know, and that feels like right to the time as well. You know like every sort of like little detail here was obsessed over clearly by this creator It's like obsessed over that was the key word like pg whoever done it they probably look they know How these like types of this era of filming works exactly they probably had this idea for years And they've finally been able to put it into practice yeah so let us know in the comments What you guys think about that one you guys clearly liked it you know nice work it feels Like a restored film even a really nice comment there like yeah this faithful is the right word The music the cadence the speech is exactly right you know it all just felt like this person loves

1:51:05 This genre and they've clearly had this idea like you said for a long time now they have the tools To actually make it a thing and then they go to the further extent to submit it to us and we've World. You know, this is the full like spectrum of stuff on that note, obviously here's the link To sign up. If you want to receive all of the show notes from tomorrow, the newsletter will be going Out. It's a, everyone's been asking, you know, who made this, what tools we used and all of that, All of that is going to be in tomorrow's newsletter. So go sign up to that one. The next piece we've got, we were actually going to watch last week, but we ran out of time. So we had this all ready to go last week and it's actually being posted in the last hour. We're seeing the full episode. So we're going to watch a trailer version of that and it's for a re this is really exciting,

The Chronicles of Bone and Freepik Originals

1:51:55 Right? So we seen Kavan the kid be the first free pick original, you know, Netflix has originals Free pick as originals too. So you know, this is the continuation of his series, which is the free pick original series. And a month ago, we launched free pick originals, a program where free pick Partners with world-class creators to co-produce full audio visual projects Powered entirely with a free pick suite. This is not a sponsorship or a logo placement full creative production. So it's like Kavan, the kids got this Chronicles of bone series, and We're going to watch the next coming. For over five centuries, the Mordains have ruled the realms of man.

1:52:43 But now, the winds are changing. The players are in motion. And the stakes have never been higher. Get out of here!

1:53:35 I think it's just the word for Kevin the kid isn't it truly epic it's out now the actual Full version it looks like within Paul's just telling me within the last hour they might have Posted the actual full episode yeah we may be watching that on a future episode because it is You know I think he broke the record in that his last one got five million YouTube views in like A few weeks so like this guy is really tippity tippity top you know when it comes yes don't Expect that like you'll be able to use these ai platforms and make these amazing things straight Away this guy is the he's dave clark levels you know like of doing this genre and this style which He's I could see straight away again in this you don't need to show me the chronicles of bone now

1:54:22 We're all kind of familiar with his characters and his style and his epicness you can see that This is a kavan the kid piece you know he's got that same signature that simon and others are Carrying from piece to piece now uh so really good to see that flourish you know we've come a long way In that now we've got styles bleeding through for creators from piece to piece like this Obviously he's been very lucky and free pick have done the right job in making this a series that They own now so he can continue to make this genre and style with no worries of credits or Backing and stuff, which is awesome. That is good. And yeah, I'm looking forward to watching that one. Cause that looks really, really good. I mean, it's truly watchable stuff being put for free on YouTube right now.

1:55:09 You know, that's the thing is how long will this stay free? It's yes. As Martin says, free pick original seems like a great opportunity for independent Creators as you get support to make your films, then keep a hundred percent of the IP that's huge. That's actually huge. You they're just funding it for you so that's really interesting because yeah a lot of people That may offer this in the future will ask for rights to the film you know I can't see that Lasting well I can't see everyone doing that so do take advantage of it now because that doesn't Yeah that's very unusual more great comments here free pick originals is open to filmmakers Animators directors motion designers who want to build real projects using free picks tools creators Own 100 rights of ip this is amazing honestly like truly like new times new eras new distribution

1:56:02 Platforms free pick new money you know like there's loads of new stuff happening here guys like Youtube as a distribution platform to this is so interesting because you know cav and the kid's Been I think he's got 200 300k subs on his own youtube and originally what happened is he posts It himself and then he can collaborate post with free pick yeah yeah you know they have this yeah Exactly so it's like there's there's even new opportunities there where as an independent Creator with your own subscribers you post it to your own youtube and then have another ai company Like co-post it or whatever you know these are just new distribution methods we've never seen Before so it's so it's exciting djs I don't know is it sex a or something like that said this looks

1:56:56 Pretty good again some of these scenes so close to existing live action ips that isn't anyone worried About being sued yet I think that's going to be quite an interesting area to say because if I've Watched I've watched many films that are very similar to each other and I'm like well if that Cut that if they sued them so again where it's going to be a very gray line that anything in The world of digital and ips and suing and winning and losing that's a very great area always has been Another awesome bloke that I met down at free pick uh this guy marcus grip he is uh someone We're going to be doing future live streams with andrew so get better get to know bro You better get to know thanks for joining us we're about to finish the show honestly with two hours

1:58:36 Of course. Yeah. Even YouTube's got a slight delay. I appreciate LinkedIn is a lot more of a delay, but yeah, YouTube itself. Hey, all the loves coming in for Andrew. Big love, big love to everyone. Hey, the London massive too. As Andrew was saying, IP ownership is interesting. And the conditional idea of it being like, you know, free pick lets you own the IP, But it's still generative media. Own it can you copyright it can you really distribute it like these are the sort of things That we're um oh thank you so much we really appreciate that yeah we've tried really hard at The show we've also got paul in the background producing the show now which is really up to the

1:59:21 Game in terms of the show quality and stuff so I really appreciate those comments anyway enough Faffing we've got like uh to get out as well so let's play last one last video this one was really From the runway, uh, co-founder himself, Christabel. And, um, basically he just said in his LinkedIn post, all animals can now be skateboarding. So this one is just called runway skateboarding. Let's check it out. To the max with a fact, let me grab the space

Runway Skateboarding by Cristóbal Valenzuela

2:00:08 I had a map to place, who gonna laugh on face? One blonde or strong, you can't look at the stack for the hate It goes on and on, wait until the back of the bank This phenomenon, I don't even have to think I'm where I belong, let's knock back in the... You know, I go where I want it Fair warning for anybody with hair on them You can't stump me, you can't stump me the bear on them They cry, come people mad, look at the tears on them Mish body, yeah, yeah, so, we'll try to pull When you're this good, don't let them know Yeah, so regrettable When you're this good, go let em know They ain't never hear a band like this They ain't never see a band like this Go let em know They ain't never hear a band like this They ain't never see a band like this Go let em know Flow's incredible, look at them anxious You can't go against the creed like Jonathan Mage Gonna see it to believe it, come do me in favor Look at the paper, peep in the cave

2:00:55 Is life here, then it's gone, you ain't know it's a favor Gonna travel, carry on, bring your people to make them See the world, cast pearls, quit trying to be famous This is for me, that day won't define me, know where to find me, wrapped in the wings of the mighty, so many ucs wanna try me, seeing what I got is alone, and it's the kind of time they got blown, yeah so incredible, when you're this good, don't let them know, yeah so incredible, when you're this good, don't let them know, they ain't never hear a band like this, they ain't never seen a band like this, don't let them know, they ain't never hear a band like this, they ain't never seen a band like this, don't let them know.

2:01:42 Ladies and gentlemen, I call this thing, the door's breaking up, do me a favor Put your body up on that floor, tell me what you been waiting for Put your body up on that floor, tell me what you been waiting for So incredible, still doing a lot, ain't never doing the minimal, that there is critical I had several thoughts here in that but you guys are so funny watching your comments coming in

2:02:27 20 years of boarding and they've already got me beat this is a new olympic event you guys are Actually hilarious retiring from film production the cat double flip yeah the music though it was They got me it was just the funky music you know and the fun of all of this and as lara says this Is the beautiful part of ai where it doesn't need to have a purpose it can just be a fun video that We we make nowadays like this whole thing had no real purpose other than to show I think one Of the things early on in ai was uh will smith eating spaghetti obviously um but also it was The physics of skateboarding and tricks that just didn't look right you know like the models were

2:03:12 Accurately nailing these things to a point where it was laughably wrong. I remember early Sora and stuff, the board would just disappear through all sorts of Like physics issues and the people would just fly off in random directions. And now I think the idea was just to say, look, this is where we're at now. You can have any animals getting any board. It looks like realistic tricks. Yes, it's fun, but like it looks proper, you know, like it actually looks like usable Content, but yeah. Hilarious. For days as james says and yeah that was uh one of my favorites so far as well just because it was Just so fun you know it's a great way to close out the show a nice little fun piece you guys are the Best thank you so much for tuning in for this whole entire show um the retention rates like I say are

2:04:00 Ridiculous you guys start watching the show continue watching us for two hours it's uh we very very Thankful I don't know whether that was an ai track or whether that was a real beat I'm assuming it was Real beat because it sounds so good. But again, these days, Suno 5.5 and all that, like, how do we know it's going to Blur the lines really, really soon. But yeah, cheers guys. I had a blast as well. That was one of my favorite shows. I was just saying a Paul in the back, you know, this show is so fun and we rapid Firing through all of your amazing work. Keep submitting, subscribe to Luma, subscribe to YouTube, all of that. I'll do that last little push. Video actually because the hip-hop sort of music and the style of it he'd have really enjoyed that

2:04:46 Maybe we need to make it so that we're a little bit tighter getting the closing uh video out each Week that andrew can do it when he's got a hard stop and all that but for you for you guys tuning In you know 10 minutes even over after the live stream we're supposed to finish or eight minutes Wherever we are appreciate you best event of the week ah you guys are so nice and yes we live every Week. Uh, I will have to do some like meddling with a schedule a little bit potentially when I've got events that I'm going to in person in Lisbon and France and, uh, other places, But it will try to be every single week, regardless if the show has to move day or something like That. But yeah, all the loves coming in. I really appreciate it. Paul's highlighting all these

2:05:33 Comments for me. Uh, I'm feeling the love guys. You're the best. You're the best. I also noticed I haven't wearing a hat. I think this is maybe the first episode I haven't worn a hat. It's kind of my thing to wear a hat. I was so rushed this week. I didn't even time have time to grab a hat. So I've literally got the, uh, the fluff ball out. Haven't had time to do anything with my hair or I had a shave or anything Like that, but it is what it is guys. We will see you all again next week. Make sure you sign up to the Luma. Cheers see all the comments coming through now behind the scenes paul yes good shout out I will Finish the show with that some unsung love for paul in the background running the show He may appear on the show more and more in the future as andrew gets busier and I get busier

2:06:20 And stuff you know paul coming into the show is a nice thing as well so yeah anyway I'll end the Stream there see you guys next time
