03Biography

The Drew Brucker story

From ticket sales to the boardroom

Drew Brucker came to Missouri State University from Illinois in 2004 and graduated from its College of Business in 2008, in entertainment management[6]. His first job was in sales for the St. Louis Cardinals, where, Missouri State says, he was recognised nationally for his results[6]. A year after graduating he moved to Atlanta and switched from sales to marketing[6].

In B2B technology he rose from an entry-level role to vice president in about six years, then led marketing at software start-ups from seed stage to Series D and beyond[6]. His site puts the revenue sourced by his marketing across that career at more than $170 million, by his own count[1].

LASSO, and a bulldog in a gold chain

His last full-time marketing job was at LASSO, a Series A software company for live-event production crews; his site calls the role VP of Marketing and Missouri State calls it VP of Growth[1][6]. His site credits him with taking annual recurring revenue from $1.9 million to $20 million in 24 months and launching four products in six months, and Missouri State describes the same run as 11 times ARR growth[1][6].

In November 2022, in Midjourney's V4 era, he made his first AI image: a bulldog in a gold chain[1]. He was looking for a way to stay close to photography[1]. On the first episode of Fast Hours he said Midjourney V5 let him rebuild a whole LASSO customer event with AI, from the landing page to the slides[9]. In February 2023 LASSO shipped a brand identity built with Midjourney imagery, which he calls the first publicly visible AI-integrated identity for a venture-backed company[1].

Taste is the deliverable.

Drew Brucker[1]

Midjourney Mastery

In June 2023 he launched Midjourney Mastery, a guide and course sold on Gumroad[1][4]. It now runs to five levels, a vault of more than 3,000 prompt tokens, 500+ style codes, four custom prompt GPTs, 25+ cheat sheets and 50+ podcast deep dives, with lifetime updates, for $120[4]. Gumroad shows 963 sales and a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 53 reviews; his own site says the course has passed $100,000 in sales, with buyers in more than 97 countries[4][1].

That September the American Marketing Association Foundation named him one of its four 2023 4 Under 40 Emerging Leaders, listed as a marketing executive and AI consultant in Atlanta[5]. Two months later Missouri State's College of Business profiled him under the headline From Missouri State to marketing maverick[6].

Brainchild

In September 2023 he went independent and opened Brainchild, his AI creative studio[1]. The first client was Buddy, whose own reel sells it as an app for trading scrap. He built it a library of more than 2,500 photoreal, on-brand images with Midjourney and ChatGPT, replacing stock photos and global shoots under one rule: if it looked AI, it didn't make the cut[13].

His site lists Marriott as his first Fortune 500 client, with original AI artwork for its hotels made through the art marketplace Indiewalls, and AI artwork for a Brooklyn Nets mural as his first pro sports job[1]. It also lists a winning piece at the Art for Life exhibition in Helsinki, AI art picked to run as ambient art on Amazon and Google TV screens, a feature in Midjourney Magazine Issue 22 and work in Lurzer's Archive's first AI report; this page has not found independent sources for those[1].

In 2025 podcast interviews he was introduced as Head of Brand and Content at Goldcast, a B2B video platform, alongside Brainchild, with more than 70 generative AI workshops behind him[19][20]. His site now lists Goldcast among its clients[2].

Fast Hours

On 2 July 2024 he and Rory Flynn launched Midjourney Fast Hours, with a first episode called We Accidentally Became Midjourney Experts[8][9]. Their first guest, on Episode 11 in September 2024, was AI LIVE co-host Chris Branch[10]. The show widened beyond Midjourney and was renamed Fast Hours in Episode 67, in April 2026; by late October 2026 it had 88 episodes and about 103,000 YouTube subscribers[8]. Its first brand sponsor, Figma Weave, backed Episode 79 in August 2026[1][23].

We still don't know wth we're doing. But here we are.

Drew Brucker, on Fast Hours passing 100,000 subscribers[30]

The Grumbleverse

In November 2025 Meta brought him in as a creative partner for the closed alpha of its AI platform, after Meta licensed Midjourney's image model[11]. He produced 120 AI videos that became launch showcase content, among them The Grumbleverse, a 30-episode series set in the Miserable Zoo, where the animals complain about everything and then escape[11].

It is told like a news channel, with anchors, reporters and interviews with the zookeeper[11]. Each video stacks four or five capabilities, from video generation and lip sync to audio and news graphics, so that it watches like a show rather than a demo[11].

Pinterest, and the machine

From September 2025 Pinterest's Programming & Originals department brought Brainchild in[12]. He trained the team, built a six-module AI content course for new hires and two internal AI agents, a Visual Identity Toolkit and an AI Image Prompter, and made more than 5,000 assets across seven-plus campaigns, including the Roku TV series Bring My Pinterest to Life, holiday flat-lays and Pinterest Predicts tarot boards[12].

Drew got us from zero to one on Gen AI content creation.

Nadine Zylstra, Global Head of Programming & Original Content, Pinterest[12]

In 2026 the work moved deeper into operations. At Limble he was AI partner to the CMO through a rebrand, writing a master brand context file and building eight marketing agents inside Limble's own Claude, across 26 deliverables and four brand films[15]. At Neighborly, whose in-house creative team serves 19 home-service brands including Mr. Handyman and Molly Maid, he spent four weeks embedded and documented eight AI workflows built on live tickets[16]. For Done+Dusted, the live-event producer behind the Oscars and the Super Bowl halftime show, he ran 18 sessions over two days in Santa Monica, surveyed 26 staff and delivered a 25-page AI roadmap on 2 September 2026, two days early[14].

Built with Claude

On Fast Hours he has shown how much of his own business now runs on Claude: 37 skills, among them a 21-layer profile of his writing voice, a diff skill that learns from every email he actually sends and one called adopt, which checks a new idea against what he already runs[22]. After each recording, Claude skills and MCP connections to Riverside, Magnific and Runway draft titles, chapters, social posts and clips, and a thumbnail system with locked characters cut thumbnail time from six hours to thirty minutes[21].

On Episode 87, in October 2026, he screen-shared Squabble, a backyard squirrel fight he built with Claude, with hawks, sprinklers, a dog, seasons synced to the calendar and a battle mode[21]. He stress-tests his builds by asking Claude to play a skeptic who hates his work, and rebuilt his own site as an interactive flat-lay of his desk without prompting a single image himself[21]. The same month he had Claude make a sub-one-minute product film for the brand-content platform Obello with no script, working only from the client's site, typeface and palette[31].

On AI LIVE

Fast Hours and AI LIVE have crossed paths since Chris Branch's guest spot in 2024[10]. On AI LIVE Ep. 132, on 29 September 2026, Chris played Rory's one-prompt Claude Opus 5.5 promo for Fast Hours, which opens by naming both hosts[34]. On Ep. 134 the hosts shouted out Fast Hours, Rory and Drew for the conversations they had been having about staying hands-on in AI workflows[35]. On Ep. 135 Drew was in the live chat; the hosts congratulated him on Fast Hours passing 100,000 subscribers and signed off planning a special episode with the Fast Hours hosts[36].

The gameSquabble

Two squirrels, one fence

Built byDrew Brucker, with Claude

On Episode 87 he shared his screen with Rory Flynn and played Squabble, a backyard squirrel fight he built with Claude[21]. There are hawks, sprinklers and a dog, seasons that follow the calendar, Halloween pumpkins on the fence in October, health bars and a battle mode, and a character select that asks you to choose your trouble[21].
