The short version

Episode 122 was Chris and Andrew's first show together in weeks, with producer Paul away, so Chris loaded the videos and built the polls himself. The World Cup dominated the first half hour: ElevenLabs' Dubbing V2, Coca-Cola's AI José vs Mourinho twins, then adidas' Backyard Legends and Nike's Rip the Script back to back. Nike took the night's first poll with 12 1s from 13 votes. Fresh from Upscale in San Francisco, Chris shared Henry Daubrez's new Junkyard King chapter, Billy Boman remixing music genres inside Seedance, and a run of Invideo-backed series. Karim's dragon market short, made by three people in two weeks, and Tim Simmons' Paperclip Heart closed a show all about long-form AI storytelling.

The scoreboard

Every piece on AI LIVE goes to a live audience vote: 1 for awesome, 2 for okay, 3 for not for me. Here's how this week's work landed, best first.

  1. 1Rip The ScriptNike Football96
  2. 2OpenClaw Spec AdMatisse Baron73

Score out of 100: a 1 counts fully, a 2 counts half, a 3 counts zero. Votes are counted the way StreamYard's live poll counts them: every 1, 2 or 3 mentioned in a YouTube live chat message while that piece was on screen, one vote per person per poll (their first). LinkedIn Live comments are still to be added. Producer Paul Parsons was away, so Chris ran the polls himself and only two pieces went to a vote.

Key takeaways

  1. 01

Brand blockbusters are now made for YouTube, not TV. adidas' Backyard Legends runs five minutes and Nike's Rip the Script six, too long for a TV slot, and Nike's film reached 68 million views in five days. It topped the vote with 12 1s and a single 2.

  2. 02

AI platforms are now funding the series boom. Junkyard King Chapter 1, Exile Protocol and Red Rainbow were all made with Invideo Agent One, and Dreamina commissioned The Dor Brothers to launch its Octo agent. Chris's read: creators get a loose brief, make what they want, and the platform puts its logo on it.

  3. 03

Small teams can now make epic long-form work. Karim's dragon market short took three people two weeks, about 80 hours on his clock and hundreds of thousands of credits, with Karim writing prompts and building image assets while Seedance generated.

  4. 04

Seedance can remix music, not just pictures. Billy Boman uploaded a 15-second beat and asked Seedance to extend it into new genres, with no Suno involved, and Chris says the trick works surprisingly well.

  5. 05

Seedance is still the daily driver. Back from Upscale, Chris said most creators use Seedance first, with Kling a big second, and more updates on the way.

  6. 06

AI dubbing is the next step for liquid content. ElevenLabs' Dubbing V2 points to a world where anything made in one language reaches everyone in their own, and the hosts agreed YouTube's built-in auto-dubbing isn't there yet.

ElevenLabs Dubbing V2

By ElevenLabs

The main news of the week: Dubbing V2, a new end-to-end dubbing model from ElevenLabs, with a launch video that switches between Spanish, Japanese, French, Polish and German. Chris tied it to an idea the show keeps coming back to, that content is liquid, so anything made in one language can be heard in everyone's own. Andrew still rates ElevenLabs as the best in audio, but is surprised it doesn't yet fix the mouth movements the way HeyGen does. Both agreed YouTube's own auto-dubbing still sounds fake.

José vs Mourinho

By The Coca-Cola Company, GOAL, GRAiL

Coca-Cola's World Cup series, made with GOAL, GRAiL and José Mourinho himself, and powered by Google Cloud. Two digital twins of Mourinho go head to head through the tournament, debating the most talked-about matches and moments, with every frame and line built through what the trailer calls a multi-layered production pipeline of image generation, video synthesis and voice modelling. Chris, who has worked with Coca-Cola for years, expects many more AI activations from World Cup sponsors. The chat noticed the trailer never actually says AI. Not put to a vote.

adidas Backyard Legends

By adidas

A five-minute World Cup film starring Timothée Chalamet as a fast-talking fixer who gathers a dream team, Lamine Yamal and Jude Bellingham among them, for a three-on-three against a local crew that hasn't lost since 1996, a crew that once beat Beckham, Zidane and Del Piero. Chris said AI was used on Beckham and other legends, with speculation about the de-aging. The hosts loved Chalamet's delivery and the asides from Bellingham and Yamal, and framed adidas versus Nike as Messi versus Ronaldo. It went head to head with Nike, which got the poll.

Rip The Script

By Nike Football

Nike's answer, six minutes long: a director tries to keep a shoot on script while the players do whatever they want, from Mbappé and Vini Jr to Zlatan talking about himself in the third person. Then the cameos pile up: Central Cee turning into Cole Palmer, Kim Kardashian, LeBron James, Channing Tatum, Ted Lasso, Virgil van Dijk and a Cantona "Croydon 1995" Easter egg. Karim summed it up in the chat: "Agency: What's the budget? Nike: Yes." With 68 million views in five days, it took the first poll Chris built himself: 12 1s and one 2.

“Last minute grabbing a Nike piece after I got an Adidas piece, and I was like, wow, this is spectacular. And then Nike just was like, hold my beer.”Chris Branch · ▶ 38:28

OpenClaw Spec Ad

By Matisse Baron

A spec ad for OpenClaw, the AI agent, from Matisse Baron, a French film director working with AI whom Chris met at Upscale. Molty, the little VFX lobster, wakes his owner at 10am having filled the calendar, summarised reports, rebooked a flight, rescheduled the taxi and sent notes to a podcast host. It can't move things... yet. Chris liked its mouth movements and tone of voice. Glenn, an advertising legend, gave it a 1, but the poll leaned to 2s: five 1s and six 2s. Matisse saved up for months to fund his own trip to Upscale.

Junkyard King, Chapter 1: Training Day

By Henry Daubrez

The episode behind this week's title: nine minutes of Henry Daubrez's Junkyard King, following the episode zero we showed before. Artie, a kid who learned sword fighting from a VHS tape, is told the glowing blade chose him, that a girl called the Sovereign commands an army of iron creatures, and that three kids from his school are trapped in another world. Then comes the training, with a mechanical crow called Socket who hates being called chicken. Henry, who worked with Chris at Coca-Cola and spoke at Upscale, made it with Invideo Agent One and dropped into the chat.

“I can't put the poll up, but that one really doesn't need a poll. It was incredible.”Chris Branch · ▶ 55:38

Seedance Genre Remix Music Video

By Billy Boman

A music video with extreme visuals from Billy Boman, and the story behind it is the point. Billy uploaded a 15-second clip of a beat he had made and asked Seedance to extend it into different genres, with no Suno and no extra audio, and the edit gets wilder as drum and bass and other genres arrive. Chris tried the trick himself after Billy shared it in a group chat and says it works surprisingly well. Andrew compared it to club tracks you can't nod along to because the rhythm keeps changing. Not polled.

Dreamina Octo Launch Film

By The Dor Brothers

A one-minute fight piece from The Dor Brothers, shown cold with no introduction. It was commissioned to launch Octo, the agent inside Dreamina with the little octopus icon, which Chris described as an additional, agentic way to use Seedance through Dreamina, now public after an early beta he had access to. It started a conversation about AI platforms paying creators to make what they want with a loose brief, like it has to have an octopus in it, and putting their logo on the result. Not polled.

Exile Protocol, Episode 3: False Alliances

By S.A.V

Episode 3 of Exile Protocol by S.A.V, an Invideo-sponsored series recommended by Marco, a good friend of the show. A council of station admirals argues over a mech detachment lost in Africa, New Sweden volunteers to lead the investigation, and a pilot follows a signal into an abandoned facility called Kagami Labs. We watched about seven minutes of the 15. Andrew asked whether it was made with Invideo's agent: yes, Chris said, running on models like Seedance underneath. Consistent style, believable characters and good sound design, and Glenn called it extremely polished.

Untitled Dragon Market Short

By Karim

Karim, whom Chris met in Lisbon and who works with PJ Ace, made this fantasy short with a team of three in two weeks: 80 hours on his clock and, he said in the chat, hundreds of thousands of credits. A scarred woman walks a market of caged dragons and creatures, a trader's tale hints she is a witch everyone thought dead, and then her monkey goes missing. Chris loved the floating ship, Andrew a half wink in close-up, which Karim confirmed he prompted. He kept writing prompts and building image assets while Seedance generated.

Red Rainbow: Bluebird Trailer

By Aze Alter

A one-minute trailer from Aze Alter for the first season of Red Rainbow, made with Invideo Agent One. It is a Phantom X release: Kavan the Kid's label, which helps launch other creators' original series while, as Chris understands it, letting them keep 90% of their IP. Andrew liked that it ended on a release date, 25 June, like a proper trailer, and wants to see the whole thing. Karim gave Aze a shout-out in the chat. Not polled.

Paperclip Heart

By Tim Simmons (Theoretically Media)

The second film from Tim Simmons of Theoretically Media, and much more chilling than the samurai action of his first. Paperclip Heart follows Solace, an AI companion built to cure loneliness, from a private, local launch to a nerfed model, a European ban, AR glasses, a collapsing jobs market and companion-assisted conception. Tim's credits list Seedance 2.0, Claude and Suno, with the edit in Premiere Pro. Chris sees creators who make both tutorials and their own films as the new model for AI YouTube. Glenn's verdict in the chat: speechless, terrifying. Not polled.

Questions this episode answers

What was AI LIVE Episode 122 about?

Episode 122 (9 June 2026) was headlined by the release of Henry Daubrez's Junkyard King Chapter 1. Chris Branch and Andrew Davis reviewed 11 AI pieces and ads live, plus ElevenLabs' Dubbing V2 news, including adidas' Backyard Legends and Nike's Rip The Script back to back, Karim's dragon market short and Tim Simmons' AI companion film Paperclip Heart. With producer Paul Parsons away, only two pieces were polled, and Nike's Rip The Script topped the vote.

Which piece won the audience vote on AI LIVE Episode 122?

Nike's six-minute World Cup film Rip The Script, with 12 1s and a single 2 from 13 votes. The only other piece polled, Matisse Baron's OpenClaw spec ad, drew five 1s and six 2s. Paul was away, so Chris built the polls himself and the rest of the show wasn't put to a vote.

How was Junkyard King Chapter 1 made?

Henry Daubrez made the nine-minute chapter with Invideo Agent One. It follows the episode zero shown earlier on AI LIVE: Artie, a kid who learned sword fighting from VHS tapes, is chosen by a glowing blade and starts training to rescue three kids from his school, helped by a mechanical crow called Socket.

Can Seedance be used to remix music?

Yes, according to a trick Billy Boman shared. He uploaded a 15-second clip of a beat he had made and asked Seedance to extend it into different genres, without Suno or any extra audio, then cut a music video to match. Chris tried it himself and said it works surprisingly well, because Seedance already generates music underneath video.

How long does it take to make an epic AI short film?

Karim's dragon market short took a team of three two weeks, about 80 hours of his own time, and in his words hundreds of thousands of credits. He kept organised by writing prompts and building image assets while Seedance was generating.

How can I get my AI work featured on AI LIVE?

Submit it through the form at theailiveshow.com. Every Tuesday at 4pm UK the hosts review the best submissions live on LinkedIn and YouTube, and every piece goes to a live audience vote: 1 for awesome, 2 for okay, 3 for not for me.

Show notes

Chris Branch and Andrew Davis were back together after a few busy weeks of travel, keynotes and events, but producer Paul Parsons was away, so Chris loaded every video and built the polls himself. The chat answered from Lisbon, Warsaw, Turin, New York, Los Angeles, the SF Bay and beyond.

The World Cup took over the opening half hour: ElevenLabs' Dubbing V2, AI in the official match ball, Coca-Cola's José vs Mourinho digital twins, and adidas' Backyard Legends against Nike's Rip The Script, which won the first poll. Fresh from Google I/O and Upscale in San Francisco, Chris shared who he met, from Momo Wang and Flostradamus to Kavan the Kid and TechHalla, and why Seedance is still the daily driver.

Then came the long-form run: Henry Daubrez's Junkyard King Chapter 1, Billy Boman's Seedance genre remix, The Dor Brothers' Octo launch, Exile Protocol, Karim's dragon market short and Aze Alter's Red Rainbow trailer, before Tim Simmons' Paperclip Heart closed the show. In between, Andrew gave a tour of his new studio and gym in Spain and talked voice tools for working with RSI, and a special guest episode was pushed back to a later week.
